UAV First Response System
The UAV aircraft we are designing will have great practical uses in the future. We plan to have our aircraft operate as a security drone to perform an autonomous first response to an external alarm system. The UAV drone will operate according to the following overall algorithm:
- Respond to coordinates sent by alarm (e.g. motion sensor) to drone.
- Autonomously fly to the GPS coordinates of the alarm location.
- Scan the area using object recognition to locate an intruder.
- Track and follow the intruder, relaying information to security officers.
